Bio 

Robert began playing the guitar at 10 years old and quickly progressed with classic rock, folk and blues styles. He began teaching guitar lessons and playing professionally while still in high school.

 

Robert went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in music with an emphasis on theory and composition, and performance specialties in classical and jazz guitar.

 

Robert has studied with top classical and jazz guitarists across the United States and has developed an approach that allows students to efficiently master the guitar fingerboard while playing their favorite songs and styles of music.

 

He has earned a reputation throughout the Pacific Northwest as a top guitar instructor and estimates that he has taught over 1,000 students to play the guitar across many different genres and styles.

 

He was a founder of a successful music retail shop and private music school in Oregon City that provided lessons to over 300 students a week.

 

Robert is also an avid performer playing solo guitar gigs and performing with small jazz ensembles in the Portland metro area.
